Alcoa to Buy Jet Engine Parts Maker Firth Rixson for $2.85 Billion by MICHAEL J. DE LA MERCED

The deal for Firth Rixson is expected to bolster annual revenue by 20 percent at Alcoa’s aerospace unit, its biggest so-called value-added business, while supplementing its traditional metals operations.
